The Hot Texas Swing Band, like Bob Wills, has one boot in Cowboy music and the other boot in Swing and Jazz.  With their hearts anchored in traditional Western Swing, the Hot Texas Swing Band adds fresh musical ideas and original material to offer an exciting and energetic new Western Swing sound. 

Bandleader Alex Dormont writes original material for the band, plays upright bass, sings, and arranges the songs. Hot Texas Swing Band members are some of Austin’s finest musicians: Karen Biller, drums; Cat Clemons, guitar; Erik Hokkanen, fiddle; Scott Benner, sax; and Selena Rosanbalm, vocals/rhythm guitar.
