Performer & Composer: A major Western performer in the 1920s and 30s, teaming with Carson J. Robison to popularize a number of Western songs, and working individually, with his wife (Zora Layman), and his trio on record and on the radio. Composed “Curtains of Night,”  “When it’s Roundup Time in Glory” and “A Cowboy’s Best Friend,” among others.
