The first (and only) singing cowgirl movie star. Grand National Studios tried appealing to a different segment of the audience, the young girls, when they introduced Dorothy Page in “The Water Rustlers.” She sang and she was the heroine of the day. Two more films followed, “Ride ‘em Cowgirl” and “The Singing Cowgirl.”
