Performer Information

A composer and performer who formed a band that once featured Len Slye, Bob Nolan and Tim Spencer for a couple of years. After forming and performing on three radio stations in Hollywood with other players, he brought Spade Cooley to Hollywood where they played together on many recordings. Sooter played in films with Ken Maynard, Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Tex Ritter, and Bing Crosby and recorded with Tex on many of his early recordings.
