Elko, Nevada is recognized by the U.S. Senate as the home of the original Cowboy Poetry Gathering which started in 1985. Today there are hundreds of gatherings and Graham, Texas, is joining in! With our partner the Young County Museum of History and Culture, we are dedicated to celebrating and preserving this unique culture event.

A poetry gathering is a special time where cowboy talent can express their way of life. By hosting this event we help preserve this dynamic heritage. The traditions of the cowboy and Code of The West are shared through stories, poetry, and songs.
