Born, raised, and lives in the Piney Woods of east Texas. I have always been a part of the cowboy way of life from working cattle to riding bulls. I enjoy writing and sharing my songs and poems. I love researching old cowboy trail songs and putting my own spin on them. While traveling through the trails of life every now and then I would turn off just to see what lay ahead. I served and retired from the US Navy, then became an Ag Science teacher until I retired again. I now manage a small cow/calf operation for the Bar JJ ranches in Jasper and Newton Texas.  I have been a member of the Jasper County Cowboy Church band for the past eight years.
