Dennis shares his original poems and stories as well as sharing some of the classics at campfires or patio gatherings. He was appointed the first Poet Laureate of Cimarron, New Mexico and winner of the first WMA Western Wordsmths Cowboy Poetry Jackpot Novice Division in 2014. A singer-songwriter, he was elected vice president of the Western Wordsmiths Chapter for 2015 and is the Founder of the Cimarron Cowboy Music & Poetry Gathering.
