Marvin is recognized in the Western Music arena as a successful song writer and his original music is being well-received and recorded by other performing artists. He is the 2009 Western Music Association Songwriter of the Year. His latest production and recording effort, The Silver Screen Cowboy Project, features 19 of today’s finest Western recording artists and musicians on a 2-CD set. The Silver Screen Cowboy Project was awarded the prestigious 2009 WMA President's Award. Marvin's highly requested song, Jesus & Roy, was awarded the WMA's 2009 Song of the Year. The CD inspired Marvin to create a live stage show around the songs of this award-winning CD. He now tours with The Red Hot Rhythm Rustlers band comprised of Audrey McLaughlin, Gale Rogers, Dawn Pett, Dan McCorison and himself, performing the Silver Screen Cowboy Project Show “Live” – a tribute music and multimedia presentation to the B-Western stars of the 30s, 40s and 50s. The band also has the versatility of doing Western swing, classic Western tunes or contemporary cowboy songs.
