Carlos Washington is a nationally and internationally acclaimed award-winning country western swing music entertainer represented by Flaming Tortuga Records. Carlos and his band, Steel Horse Swing, mixes western swing with rodeo and cowboy classics to celebrate a musical legacy that is timeless. Described by the industry as "Roots Music", Carlos has crafted this band with reflections of Bob Wills, Hank Thompson and Asleep at the Wheel. His performances include classics from Strait & LeDoux that create an infectious western sound
that breaks cultural boundaries with major crossover appeal.

Carlos has released several albums and singles that soared to the top of western and country charts and are continually being played on a broad range of western and country radio markets. He has been recognized by the IWMA and AWA with nominations for Entertainer, Male Performer, Cowboy Swing Album and Group of the Year. His LP Swing Time Baby was awarded AWA " 2018 Will Rogers Swing Album of the Year. The EP " A Little Western, A Little Swing" received a 5 Star review by Country Music People Magazine and is listed in their top 10 albums for
2023.

Carlos raised angus cattle with his wife, Merinda, on their ranch in Colorado before relocating to Northern New Mexico. He is a former Professional Rodeo Bull Rider and National Team Penning Champion. Retraining cutting horses to make team penning horses is another one of his life's passions. With his true ranching background, Carlos doesn't just sing about the west, he lives it.
