Yonder hangs his hat in Montana where he pens cowboy poetry based on his experiences while working on a horse ranch in his younger days or running his own small, cow-calf operation. He was a deputy sheriff for a time and also worked as an actor in Hollywood. Rick Huff in Western Way Magazine has described Yonder’s poetry as “... being accurate, authentic and exceptionally well crafted ... his experience as an actor serves him well. I have to say he is one of the best interpreters of verse I have ever encountered.” His poetry and performances have won awards and exemplify his deep-seated respect for “The Cowboy Way” which he promotes with passion, humor and integrity. Yonder can be found performing his poetry at gatherings or guest ranches around the west.
