Aspen Black is a champion barrel racer and touring singer/songwriter who captures the widespread cultures and landscapes of the American West with grit, grace, and authenticity. Her original song, As Cowboy As They Come, gained mainstream country radio airplay in 2025, charted in the Top 20 on indie country radio, and Top 10 on IWMA radio. Her previous release, Born to be a Cowgirl, was a 2024 WWA Spur Finalist for Best Western Song and reached #1 on the IWMA western radio chart. She won first place in the 2023 IWMA Songwriting Contest -Gospel category, and was a 2023 IWMA Top-5 nominee for Female Performer of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. In addition to performing over 150 shows every year as a solo artist and half of "The Western Troubadours" duo with Kerry Grombacher, Aspen hosts the Western Air Waves radio show, where she shares “the hottest new western music and poetry alongside old favorites” with listeners worldwide.
